Caribbean and African Pastors with wider Community Leaders Collaborate with Members from the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership
Event date: August 22nd, 2017
The Caribbean and African Health Network (CAHN) Greater Manchester will be hosting an evening community consultation with Warren Heppolette from the leadership team of the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership (GMHSCP) along with pastors, faith and community leaders. The meeting will inform and begin to shape the health care agenda and Manchester’s devolved health budget for African and Caribbean communities, as well as the wider community.
CAHN will also be having a private meeting with the Lord Mayor of Manchester, Councillor Eddy Newman, earlier in the day to discuss their work.
Rev. Charles Kwaku-Odoi, Co-Chair, Faith Network for Manchester and CAHN member, said “according to the 2011 census, with a 500% increase in the population of the black community and a fast growing network of black churches across Greater Manchester, it is important for us to engage in a process that is about the sustained development of BAME health outcomes “
The evening event will be the first of a series of partnership meetings between GMHSCP and CAHN designed to help build a Memorandum of Understanding between the two networks.
The event will take place from 6 – 8 pm
